Enter this unique rock-cut cave temple carved into the hillside. The temple dates to the 8th century and is one of the earliest rock-cut temples in South India.
Visit the main sanctum within the rock cave for darshan of Lord Murugan. This is where Murugan married Devasena (Deivayani) after defeating the demon Surapadman.
Uniquely, this temple houses shrines for Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesh, and Durga alongside Murugan - all within the same rock-cut complex.
Note the Sikandar Badusha Dargah (Islamic shrine) at the hilltop, representing the unique religious harmony of this site.
