Chitai Golu Devta Temple near Almora is dedicated to Golu Devta, the God of Justice in Kumaon. Thousands of brass bells and letters with petitions hang from the temple's canopy — devotees write letters to the deity asking for justice, and return to offer bells when their wish is granted. It is one of the most unique temples in India.
