Vindhyavasini Devi Temple

Vindhyavasini Devi Temple in Vindhyachal (Mirzapur) is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and the most important Goddess temple in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Goddess Vindhyavasini is believed to be a form of Durga who resides in the Vindhya Mountains. The temple complex includes three shrines — Vindhyavasini (the main temple), Kali Khoh (Goddess Kali in a cave), and Ashtabhuja (eight-armed Durga on a hill). During Navratri, the temple sees over 10 million devotees in nine days, making it one of the most visited religious sites in India.
