Harihareshwar Temple on the Konkan coast is known as the 'Deva chi Devghar' (God's own Home). Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is dramatically located where two rivers (Savitri and Bankot Creek) meet the Arabian Sea, surrounded by four hills - Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri, and Pushpadri. Each hill has a temple. The natural setting with rocks, sea, and hills makes it one of the most scenic temple locations in India. The self-manifested Shiva Lingam here is believed to embody both Hari (Vishnu) and Hara (Shiva).
