Bahucharaji Temple

Bahucharaji Temple in Becharaji is dedicated to Goddess Bahuchara Mata, one of the most unique deities in Hinduism. The Goddess is worshipped as the patron deity of the Kinnar (transgender/hijra) community, and the temple is one of the few in India with this association. According to legend, Bahuchara Mata was a Rajput woman who cut off her breasts to avoid bandits, cursing them with impotence unless they worshipped her in women's attire. The temple is a Shakti Peeth and draws devotees seeking fertility blessings and gender-related prayers.
