Bhoramdeo Temple

The Bhoramdeo Temple, often called the Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh, is a group of ancient Hindu temples located in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh. The main temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was built between the 7th and 12th centuries by the Nag dynasty rulers (Phanivamshi kings). The temple is renowned for its intricate erotic sculptures and carvings on the outer walls, similar to those at Khajuraho, depicting various aspects of life, celestial beings, and Kama Sutra postures. The temple complex is set in a scenic valley surrounded by the Maikal Hills and dense forests, making it both an archaeological and natural treasure.
