You know that friend who always asks "but how do you KNOW that?" That is Nyaya. While other philosophies focus on what reality is, Nyaya asks a more fundamental question: how do we know anything at all? Founded by the sage Gautama (not the Buddha — different person), Nyaya is Hinduism's school of logic, reasoning, and epistemology. It gave India its formal system of logical debate, and honestly, it is as rigorous as anything the ancient Greeks came up with.
