Lord Narasimha: The Man-Lion Avatar

Narasimha is the fourth avatar of Vishnu — half-man, half-lion — who appeared in one of Hinduism's most dramatic divine interventions. The demon Hiranyakashipu had obtained a boon making him nearly invincible, but his own son Prahlada remained devoted to Vishnu. Narasimha appeared in a form that circumvented every condition of the boon, demonstrating that no power can protect the unrighteous from divine justice.
