Goddess Sita: The Ideal Wife

Sita is one of Hinduism's most revered goddesses, celebrated for her unwavering virtue, courage, and devotion to dharma. Found in a furrow by King Janaka of Mithila, she chose Rama as her husband in a Swayamvara. Her abduction by Ravana, captivity in Lanka, Agni Pariksha (fire test), and eventual return to the earth form the emotional core of the Ramayana. She is worshipped as an avatar of Lakshmi.
