Sri Aurobindo Ashram was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother as a community for practitioners of Integral Yoga. Located in the heart of Pondicherry's French Quarter, the ashram is home to about 1,200 members who practice yoga, meditation, and selfless service. The ashram runs schools, workshops, a printing press, and various craft departments. Visitors can stay at the ashram guest houses and participate in meditation, yoga, and self-awareness programs.
Multiple guest houses with sea-facing rooms (₹400/day) and side-facing rooms (₹300/day). Vegan breakfast and lunch available at ₹100 and ₹180 respectively. Book well in advance as rooms fill up quickly.
