Set on 12 acres of pristine forest land near the Neyyar Dam reservoir, the Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram is a globally respected destination for intensive yoga teacher training. Established in 1978, it offers Yoga Alliance-certified TTC courses, yoga vacations, and Ayurveda retreats. The curriculum follows the five points of yoga - proper exercise, breathing, relaxation, diet, and meditation. The ashram attracts students from all over the world who come for its disciplined, traditional approach.
Simple ashram-style accommodation. This is not a hotel or resort - it is a traditional spiritual community. Rooms are clean and basic. Two-week cycles start on the 1st and 15th of each month for best alignment with the class schedule.
